“If we want to make an impact, we need to form partnerships.” This was the key message delivered by Ambassador of the Netherlands to South Africa Han Peters.

Abandoned in the Zambian bush as a newborn, businesswoman Emiley Vollmer has used the lessons she learned through her survival to create a business firmly embedded in the circular economy.

The Finnish government is working with the South African government to support South African start-ups that are addressing challenges caused by climate change and environmental degradation, said Finland’s Ambassador to South Africa, Anne Lammila.

“We all must act now,” said Dr Geraldine Reynemants, the General Representative of Flanders to South Africa.

Humanity has reached a point where it has to be humble and “sit down and listen to Mother Earth”, businesswoman and athlete Khanyi Mlambo-Chaba said.
